The studio

Velvet is an atelier on Concheiros, about a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral.

What people say most about the place is that it is clean and that it is elegant, and both are deliberate. The space is part of the work and not its backdrop: it is kept with the same care as a booth, because it is the first thing anyone sees when deciding whether to get tattooed here.

What it is made of

The marble and the oak are not a palette chosen for the website: they are materials of the place, and the black and the lines that recur across the site come from them.

At Velvet, appointments are always required. If you want someone in particular, write to us first: that is what secures the slot with that person and not with whoever is free.
